Handle promises and follow-ups

Keep a payment promise on record and prepare a clear reminder without sending it by accident.

Record a payment promise

In an invoice’s Promises & follow-ups, the freelancer can record what the client said they would pay and when. A promise reported by the freelancer stays unconfirmed until the client confirms it.

The client can also add a payment promise directly. A promise is a statement of intent: it does not create a receipt, reduce the balance or change the invoice due date.

Prepare a reminder

  1. As freelancer, choose Draft follow-up. Parius supplies the saved invoice facts and uses AI to help with the wording, or clearly labels a template if AI is unavailable.
  2. Read the amount, due date and any promise attribution. Edit the message and save your private draft.
  3. Choose Review & send. Read the final text, confirm it and send once.
  4. The message appears in Conversation under your name. The client cannot see an unsent draft.

If a receipt or payment promise changes, refresh the draft’s facts before sending. A reminder never changes the amount owed or authorizes a payment.
